The narrative pieces, sometimes called my “Disaster Series,” came out the COVID lockdown. While I found that I had more time in my studio, there was always a sense of impending calamity. I try to capture something of this in both the implied narrative but also in the apparent fragility of the materials and the intrusion of cracks, patinas, and weathered and almost broken forms.
